Export just the differences

I just posted my first online tutorial created with ScreenSteps Pro -- three short lessons on the new online ordering system for our local food coop.

During my final review of the tutorials on the coop's website, I found a typo. I quickly fixed it in ScreenSteps and re-exported the chapter (3 lessons) as HTML into the "tutorials" folder of my Dreamweaver site.

On Export, ScreenSteps prompted me to overwrite the "index.html" chapter home page and proceeded to overwrite all the rest of the files.  When I asked Dreamweaver to upload newer files, it listed every single file in the tutorial folder.

I'd prefer ScreenSteps be smarter when performing a re-Export to HTML and replace just the files that have changed.

In addition to minimizing uploads, selective Export would give me the opportunity to do a sanity check on my website updates (e.g., "Wait a minute! What did I change in lesson 3?") and give me a list of the pages to review when the upload completes.

In the old forum, Matt suggested using Filezilla for smart uploading.  I'd really prefer to do all uploading from Dreamweaver.

I want to have this function too.  More specifically, I want to export (in HTML) only changes in the lessons within a Manual.

I have a Manual with 10 Chapters and 57 lessons.  It is pretty annoying to have to wait to export the whole Manual just because I made a minor change within a lesson.

I could individually export just a lesson, but then I would have manually edit the HTML to fit it back within the Manual.  Also, exporting using the the "Filter lessons by status"  (under exporting a Manual) is better, in that it keeps more the HTML structure there, but still looses the Lesson previous and next links.

Screensteps should be able to do this automatically and just allow me to upload the updates and overwrite the old files.

Me too, me too. I want this.

Not sure if this is another feature I have missed in the current versions, but I was thinking it would be useful to have the ability to export to HTML just a single new lesson. I have some some manuals with close to 100 lessons now and it is tedious to do an export just to update a single new lesson.
When you go to export to HTML, you are prompted to do a full export or just the modified lessons.
1) add a time stamp field to each lesson which gets tagged whenever an export is made and a time stamp field for whenever a change is made to the lesson.
2) check the to see if a change to a lesson has been made since the last export
3)a) if not, then ignore the lesson for export
3)b) if there is a difference, then export a fresh copy of the lesson. Also re-export the index and the lesson before and the lesson after so that the sideways linking works.
Thanks for listening. ScreenSteps rocks.

This issue affects exporting to web/blog also, not just exporting to HTML. Having a slow internet connection, I must wait several seconds for uploading each image even when I have updated only the lesson description, a step title or a step text.
