I would like to be able to insert a table into a lesson. Am I able to use HTML markup and it would cleanly pass through the Blog / HTML export ?

If you want to embed raw HTML in a ScreenSteps lesson you can use the Embed Video feature. Any text you paste into the video embed dialog gets passed straight through when you export. So you should be able to paste your table markup into the field and have it exported.
Here is a link to a lesson that discusses video embed.
So that will work, but it strikes me that this isn't perhaps a long term future for this item. Specifically, my immediate requirement is for tables in web page, but what about for a Word document (later).

ScreenSteps doesn't have a table feature so you aren't able to create one that will export properly for all available formats.
You could insert tab stops using OPTION + TAB on Mac or ALT + TAB on Windows which would allow you a *very limited* way to separate columns.

Tables is something we are considering.

I'd like to throw my name as a "tally mark" into the feature request--just in case anyone is counting.

I don't need a table as such - and not in HTML. I need it in PDF/Word and just columnar data would be okay. With the current tabs implementation you have to keep adjusting, comparing to the printout, until you get it right. Proper tab support would be enough for me.
