I've had a look around the forum and didn't see either of these issues raised but forgive me if they have been and I've just missed them.
2 quick questions about running ScreenSteps 1.2 b10 on OS X Leopard.
1) I'm seeing a blue box behind both the button at the top of the ScreenSteps window and the output options at the bottom of the ScreenSteps window - am I alone in seeing this?
2) The new interface in Leopard is adding a large drop shadow on dialog boxes and windows which is being captured with the autocapture options. The images display correctly in ScreenSteps but on export to PDF and HTML the drop shadow is accompanied by a light blue box under the drop shadow. Is there any way to change this to look a bit better, for example being able to change it to white?
I can provide screen caps of both these issues if required.
Other than those 2 minor issues ScreenSteps seems to work well under Leopard.
Thanks in advance.
Elaine

I've posted 1.2 beta12 which fixes the blue border around exported images issue. You can install by choosing "Help->Check For Program Updates...".
Happy to report not a blue border in sight!!
Thanks for the fast fix - it's really appreciated

& Beta 14 solves the blue interface issue :-)

Hi,
I was evaluating Screensteps some time ago while running on 10.4 and I decided to postpone purchase as I didn't have use for your app then.
Today I made purchase as I was unable to evaluate Screensteps once again under 10.5 and I get unpleasant surprise when I discovered it simply doesn't work.
I am unable to take screenshot at all, after pressing capture button crosshair cursor appears, I am selecting part of the screen, release mouse button and after a while (which seems to be spent on capturing and processing image) I am back to main application window in same state and content as before.
My situation is tight as I need to deliver documentation to my client before end of the week, so any help is appreciated.
Many thanks,
Maciek
Hi Maciek,
Could you send an email to support@screensteps.com with the following information:
1) The version of ScreenSteps you are using (Select the ScreenSteps->About menu).
2) Whether you are running 10.5 on a PPC or Intel machine.
Hopefully we will be able to get you up and running quickly.
The problem Maciek was having had to do with the built-in OS X screen capture utility (which ScreenSteps relies on). Apparently it stops functioning properly for some folks when upgrading to Leopard. There is a posting about the issue in the Apple discussion forums:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5670472
One solution is to delete the following file:
~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist
where "~" represents your home folder.
Maciek reported losing all keyboard, mouse and regional settings but that the screen capture utility started working again.
